Made forA British art collector

A British collector asked the maison to reproduce, on his own Reverso, the painting he loved most in his collection: Frederic Leighton’s Pavonia (1858–59). Miklós Merczel of the Métiers Rares atelier had to reproduce it in under 6 cm² while keeping the lifelike vibrancy of the original. The name comes from the Latin pavo, peacock — for the feathers fanning behind the sitter’s hair.
