Miniature enamel behind a shutter mechanism
Made for the Reverso’s 80th anniversary and decorated by Philippe Chappuis — “Zep”, creator of the comic Titeuf. Turning a small wheel above the crown opens two shutters to reveal the drawing beneath: Titeuf climbing inside the watch’s gear train, the artist’s nod to Chaplin in Modern Times. The image was reproduced in miniature enamel by one of the manufacture’s own enamellers, more than eighty hours of work. It was sold at Artcurial in Paris on 29 November 2011, with the proceeds going to the Association Monégasque contre les Myopathies.
