The Reverso I Couldn’t Forget

Reverso Or Deco Milanese · 2025

I fell in love with the Reverso Or Deco Milanese the moment I saw it in person at Watches & Wonders 2025. Jaeger-LeCoultre introduced several beautiful Reversos that year, and at that time I decided to go with the Reverso Tribute Geographic. I was drawn to its impressive horological complexity and the stunning lacquered world map on the reverse dial. A year after having the opportunity to handle a prototype of the Or Deco Milanese, I could never quite get it out of my head. There was something about the purity of its design and that beautifully crafted Milanese bracelet that stayed with me. Eventually, I gave in and placed an order.

Of course, ordering it was one thing, and receiving it was another. It took until June 2026 for the watch to arrive, so patience was definitely required! But it was worth the wait, and it has dominated my wrist time ever since. What I particularly love is the bracelet. It is incredibly comfortable, with a silky, finely finished feel, yet surprisingly robust despite its elegant and dressy appearance. It also has the advantage of being easily adjustable without adding or removing links, which makes it a perfect watch to share. Although I should probably offer a fair warning to the gentlemen considering one: your partner might try to claim it!

I have always loved the Reverso, but there is something particularly appealing about the simplicity of the Or Deco design combined with such an exceptionally well-made bracelet. I originally thought the Geographic would be my favorite, and I still love that watch, but the Or Deco Milanese turned out to be the one I simply couldn’t forget. Between its understated elegance, incredible comfort, and the amount of time it has spent on my wrist since arriving, it has easily become one of my all-time favorite Reversos.

About Robin Tong Lin Wong

Robin Tong Lin Wong collects from Singapore, and Jaeger-LeCoultre has always been his favourite maison. His most personal Reverso marks a professional milestone rather than a family one: the technology startup he backed as an investor and joined as an early employee, and the exit that followed. Two more came from the 2025 Watches & Wonders releases: the Tribute Geographic he chose that year, and the Or Deco he could not forget and brought home the next.
