Reverso Tribute Geographic · 2025

Jaeger-LeCoultre has always been my favorite maison, and the Reverso is easily one of my favorite watch lines ever created. When I heard that 2025 was going to be a big year for Reverso releases at Watches & Wonders, I was naturally excited. It was also the first Watches & Wonders since Jérôme Lambert returned to the helm of Jaeger-LeCoultre, something I was genuinely thrilled about. His return made the occasion even more special for me, and I knew I wanted to add one of the new Reversos to my collection, provided I could find something within my budget.

I was fortunate enough to try on most of the new Reversos shortly after Watches & Wonders 2025, including the beautiful rose gold Or Deco with its Milanese bracelet. Choosing wasn’t easy, and I eventually narrowed it down to three favorites: the black dial Duoface, the Tribute Geographic, and the Or Deco. I visited the boutique twice over the course of a week, taking my time with each of them, but the Geographic kept drawing me back. I loved its horological complexity, particularly the fascinating Geographic complication and the gorgeous hand-lacquered world map on the reverse. The front was just as appealing, with its sunburst blue dial and big date display. There was something about having such a beautiful, classical Reverso on one side and that extraordinary world map on the other that made it stand out from the rest.

In the end, the Geographic won me over. Of the three watches I had shortlisted, it felt like the most special one to add to my collection, and I was delighted with my decision. That didn’t mean I had forgotten about the Or Deco, though. I had been equally impressed by its elegant design and Milanese bracelet, so I decided to keep it on my wish list for another day. As it turned out, that day came in 2026, when I finally added the Or Deco to my collection as well. Looking back, I suppose choosing between those two Reversos was never really about deciding which one I loved more. It was simply a matter of which one I would bring home first.

About Robin Tong Lin Wong

Robin Tong Lin Wong collects from Singapore, and Jaeger-LeCoultre has always been his favourite maison. His most personal Reverso marks a professional milestone rather than a family one: the technology startup he backed as an investor and joined as an early employee, and the exit that followed. Two more came from the 2025 Watches & Wonders releases: the Tribute Geographic he chose that year, and the Or Deco he could not forget and brought home the next.
