Reverso Tribute Tourbillon Duoface, platinum, special salmon dial · Ref. Q3926480 · 2018
The 2018 Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Tourbillon Duoface, Ref. Q3926480, is one of the most personal pieces in my Reverso collection.
Created for Jaeger-LeCoultre’s 185th anniversary, the platinum model was limited to 50 pieces and combined the Duoface concept with a flying tourbillon, powered by the manually wound Calibre 847. The original edition was presented with a deep blue dial.
While I greatly admired the watch, I envisioned it with a warmer and more personal character. Through the JLC boutique team in Bangkok, I requested that the Manufacture create a special salmon-colored dial in place of the standard blue. I coordinated my preferences with the Manufacture through the boutique team, particularly regarding the tone of the salmon dial and how it would complement the platinum case and tourbillon.
After more than a year of patience, the completed watch was delivered, and the result was exactly what I had hoped for. The salmon dial gives the watch an entirely different personality while remaining faithful to the original design.
This piece reminds me that the true value of collecting is often found in the story behind the watch, the experience of acquiring it, and the personal meaning it continues to carry over time.

The pieces here follow one thread: the Reverso as a record of history, from a coloured dial of 1933 and the first complicated Reverso of 1991 to editions made for Thailand and Kuwait, a tourbillon given a dial of its own, and Mucha’s Spring in enamel.
