Grand feu enamel miniature painting, Miklos Merczel
A Grande Taille wristwatch carrying the same Topaz miniature that Jaeger-LeCoultre also produced as one of four jewelled Reverso pocket watches in its “Pierres Précieuses” set (catalogued elsewhere in this archive) — reproducing Alfons Mucha’s 1900 lithograph The Precious Stones: Topaz, one of four panels personifying gemstones as women, alongside Ruby, Amethyst and Emerald. Whether this wrist version was ever offered for sale, or exists only as an archive/prototype example held by the manufacture itself, isn’t established by any source found so far; it’s catalogued here as a unique piece for that reason, distinct from the four confirmed pocket watches. Almost certainly built on the same Grande Taille platform as the contemporary Mucha Four Seasons watches — 18k yellow gold, manual movement, white enamel dial, small seconds — though this specific reference has not been confirmed.
