A Chinese collector bought a Grande Reverso 1931 Rouge specifically in order to engrave it. The back carries the Liverbird, the phoenix-like symbol of the city of Liverpool and of Liverpool Football Club, engraved in the same red as the dial. He drew it himself on a computer and reshaped it to fit the case — a case-back designed by its own owner rather than by the atelier.
