The Reverso Worth Traveling For

I fell in love with the Grande Reverso Ultra Thin Rouge the moment I first saw its vibrant red dial. There was something about that particular shade of red that immediately caught my attention, especially on a watch as classical and elegant as the Reverso. Introduced as a special boutique edition in 2012 and limited to 500 pieces, it celebrated the Reverso’s 80th anniversary and paid tribute to the red dials that had been part of the model’s history since 1931.

The problem was that this particular edition wasn't available in my home country. I had never traveled abroad specifically to buy a watch before, but I loved this Reverso so much that I decided it was worth making the trip. It was the first time I had ever gone to another country with the purpose of finding a particular timepiece, and that experience made the watch even more special to me.

I have always been drawn to the Reverso's timeless design, but the Rouge has a character of its own. The striking red dial gives an otherwise understated watch a completely different personality, while still maintaining the elegance that made the original Reverso so special.

For me, this watch will always be more than a beautiful limited edition. It reminds me of the first time my passion for watches took me beyond my own country in search of something I truly wanted. All because of a red dial that I simply couldn't get out of my head.
