The Charlie Chaplin Reverso

Not a single watch but a bespoke engraving offered exclusively through Lionel Meylan’s boutique in Vevey, on any Reverso the client chooses: the instantly recognisable silhouette of Charlie Chaplin’s Tramp, seen from behind — bowler hat, cane, oversized trousers, turned-out feet. The idea came from Julien Meylan and was approved by the Chaplin family and by Bubbles Inc., which controls the Chaplin estate; Vevey and neighbouring Corsier-sur-Vevey were Chaplin’s home for his final decades, and the Manoir de Ban there, now a museum, counts Jaeger-LeCoultre as a partner. Chaplin’s daughter Annie Chaplin has called the result “an imprint of the eternal Vagabond created with class, luxury, and finesse.”
