First seen on Jérôme Lambert’s wrist at a boutique event in 2025, and ordered just under three months later: a flying tourbillon in a steel Reverso, and a watch he knows will never leave his collection.

## Love at First Sight

Seen on Jérôme Lambert’s wrist in 2025, ordered just under three months later, and never leaving.

Reverso Tribute Duoface Tourbillon, stainless steel · Ref. Q392845J · 2024

I first saw this Reverso on Jérôme Lambert’s wrist at a Jaeger-LeCoultre boutique event in 2025, and it was love at first sight. I have always adored the original Reverso Tourbillon from the 1990s, so seeing this modern interpretation immediately caught my attention. There was something about the combination of the Reverso’s classical design and the flying tourbillon that I simply couldn’t get out of my head. I kept thinking about it long after the event, and just under three months later, I finally placed my order.

What makes this watch particularly special to me is how much Jaeger-LeCoultre has managed to achieve within a stainless steel Reverso. On one side, the grey sunray-finished, openworked dial beautifully showcases the flying tourbillon, allowing you to admire the movement in action. Turn the case over, and there is another openworked dial with stunning hand-guilloché decoration, along with a white dial displaying the seconds disc, second time zone, and day/night indicator. I love that both sides offer something completely different, yet feel equally impressive. It is a wonderful example of how the Reverso’s original concept can accommodate some of the most sophisticated complications in watchmaking.

For me, this Reverso represents the pinnacle of watchmaking. Perhaps part of what makes it so special is that it reminds me of the original Reverso Tourbillon that I have admired for so many years, while offering an entirely different and more contemporary interpretation. I knew how much I wanted it from the moment I saw it on Jérôme Lambert’s wrist, and that feeling never went away. Some watches come and go as a collection evolves, but this is one that I know will never leave mine.
