The company archive holds a letter sent from Algiers in 1934 congratulating the maison on a Reverso that had withstood the conditions of southern Morocco. It was signed by a Danish prince who had traded a colonel’s commission in the Danish army for the French Foreign Legion, and who commanded legion corps in Morocco as *capitaine à titre étranger*. Proof, in the maison’s own files, that the Reverso was worn not only by sportsmen but by soldiers.
