# The Edward VIII Reverso

Made for King Edward VIII.

Engraved royal arms

**Year**1937

**Craft**Engraved royal arms

**Made for**King Edward VIII

Engraved with a crown, EDWARD VIII and the date 1937 — the year of a coronation that never happened. The ceremony had been set for 12 May 1937, which explains both the date and the crown. Edward abdicated to marry Wallis Simpson; the watch was engraved anyway and still carries the trace of a dream of grandeur that gave way to a love story.
